The Secret of Spirit House : Who’s the Killer ?

If you’re into thriller, mystery and horror, the movie Spirit House is a MUST watch this Pchum Ben. Produced by independent film production house, BONG Film & Media, in association with Two Rivers International, the movie will take audiences on captivating journey with the cast and story, to ultimately finding out “Who Did It”?

The story follows Sreymom(Khemma Metayer), who was born with an unwanted gift of being able to see spirits during Pchum Ben.

As much as she tries to ignore these sightings until the period is over but things took a turn this year when she starts seeing her best friend Chenda (Kim Sivlam) who had just committed suicide. However, hints and clues by Chenda’s spirit hints at a different direction, Sreymom needs to find out what really happened before Pchum Ben is over while interacting with her friend Jessie(Thorn Thanet), Chenda’s boyfriend Dara(Sura Dara) and Dara’s friend Ratana(Seng Phanith). The ensemble cast of <Spirit House> are handpicked by the Producers. They represent the new wave of Khmer talents, who both look stunning and able to deliver a stellar performance in terms of acting. They are seen in high profile pageants, reality shows and competition, online media personalities, and one of them was even in an Angelina Jolie movie. Their performance has been widely praised. Their on-screen characters are inspired by real life Cambodians from our day to day life who have jobs like in banking, e-commerce , F&B and more how their lives would intertwine in this movie.

Director Seng Thy is a homegrown local talent and a proud graduate from Busan Asian Film School. His latest work ‘ Spirit House’ showcases a different approach towards Khmer cinematic experience, focusing on storytelling alongside with interesting landscapes and colour which are captivating to audiences.

The sneak previews of the movie are scheduled on 01 and 02 Oct in selected cinemas, with the official opening date on 3rd October in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, Battambang, Poipet . This Pchum Ben themed movie has been coordinated to premiere aligned to the season to allow audiences to immerse directly into Cambodian tradition. There’s TWO ending credit scenes so remember to sit to the final second of the movie, and definitely a “NO SPOILER” alert is needed.
