The first edition of Cambodia Tech Catalyst 2024, co-organised by OCIC and supported by Google Cloud , is launching on March 12-14 in Connexion, at Koh Pich, Phnom Penh.
Cambodia Tech Catalyst will include a startup networking dinner and CTO Connect together with Impact Hub, Khmer Enterprise and Google Cloud. The latter is a series of sessions in Koh Pich’s new Community Hub, Connexion. The bioclimatic building, Connexion is soft launching this month and welcomes its first tech related events on March 13 and 14. The CTO Connect sessions will enable tech leaders in startups to exchange on requirements to develop and expand their business.
The initiative aims to introduce Cambodia to new digital trends and highlight the Kingdom’s tech ecosystem by bringing together more than 100 decision makers as well as offering the opportunity to 500 students to dialogue with the Google Cloud team. Coming together will be startups founders, investors, banks, conglomerates, students, and other stakeholders. This first event shall serve to build opportunities for everyone to learn, network, and develop new skills on tomorrow’s technology without having to travel abroad.
Cambodia Tech Catalyst, co-organised by OCIC, has received support from solid partners such as Khmer Enterprise, ISI Group, Canadia Bank, Heineken, Impact Hub, Cambodia Association of Finance and Technology, Connexion, Mekong Strategic Capital, Cambodia Investment Review, Kiripost, Sabay Digital, Baksey Media, SHE Investments, 58Cam.com, Rising Giants, Emerging Markets Investment Advisors, CamTech University, Canadian International School of Phnom Penh, the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology (CADT), Mekhala Radiant, Kess Innovation, Mekong Focus and more. The 3-day event aims to enable to strengthen the community around key aspects of digital and entrepreneurship network building, all in Koh Pich, and soon at Connexion for the benefit of the entire community.
Additionally, there will be a special session at CamTech for University students and another one at the Canadian International School of Phnom Penh for High School students. The initiative aims to provide unique exposure for students to interact with tech experts through these university and high school bootcamp sessions. At the same time, it offers startup founders and entrepreneurs an opportunity to exchange and discover services and solutions to expand or optimize their business through CTO Connect sessions.

In addition to the Google Cloud startup team visiting from Singapore led by Ms Esna Ong and Ms Kathleen Chiu, the initiative counts some of the active faces that support the Tech ecosystem in Cambodia including Melanie Mossard and Kosoma Kim of Impact Hub or Siriwat Chhem of AVI.
The presence of seasoned Investors and Venture Capital in the likes of Mao Savin of Emerging Markets Investment Advisers (EMIA) and Bora Kem of Mekong Strategic Capital, show the Ecosystem is ready to be more collaborative and inclusive to support the growth of the entrepreneurship and the startup community.
Startups founders and entrepreneurs such as Molika Meas, Chy Sila, Sam Kosal, Jay Kong or Sy Pauv Phou who have successfully scaled their Tech companies are also ready to provide key feedback for younger founders.
