The acclaimed charity cycling event Cycling for Cambodia (CFC) will be held in Phnom Penh for the first time on May 31, kicking off at 4:30 a.m. from the iconic Independence Monument. Organised by the Cambodian Cycling Federation (CCF), this year’s event will take riders on a 310-kilometre journey from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. Cyclists of all levels are encouraged to join in support of a greener Cambodia and improved medical services for children.
Established in 2014 in Siem Reap through a partnership between Cambodia Cycling Company and Asian Square Group, the event was originally launched to raise awareness and vital funds for the Angkor Hospital for Children (AHC), based in Siem Reap. Under the banner “Cycling for Environment and Children’s Health,” CFC has since become a celebrated symbol of community-driven advocacy for children’s healthcare.

AHC treats between 350 and 450 children daily, offering free medical care. Since its establishment in 1999, the hospital has provided care to over 2.5 million children. Operating costs total approximately $6 million annually, with 80% of funding sourced from international donors and the remaining 20% from within Cambodia.
Participants can register online or on-site, either solo or in groups. The registration fee is US$20 without a bicycle and US$25 with bicycle rental included. For more details, contact [email protected].
