Happy Football Cambodia Australia are honoured to announce their MOU partnership extension with Cambodian Children’s Fund. Having first started their partnership in 2009 this new agreement will extend the working relationship to 2029.

Created in 2005, HFCA (Happy Football Cambodia Australia) is an NGO aimed at empowering underprivileged youth in Cambodia through the medium of football. HFCA ensures that underprivileged youth get access to high-quality training, team building and mobility opportunities. This supports wellbeing, mental health, self-esteem and crucially provides pathways into further opportunities by developing soft skills for success in education and employment.
CCF (Cambodian Children’s Fund) transforms the country’s most impoverished kids into tomorrow’s leaders by delivering education, family support, and community development programs into the heart of Cambodia’s most impoverished communities. CCF believes that with the right education and support, one child can lift an entire family out of poverty, and that a generation of educated children can change a whole society. Today, more than 1,800 children are working towards a better life for themselves and their families with CCF support. CCF has been working in Steung Meanchey for over 22 years.
Scott Neeson spent 26 years in the film industry. He eventually served as President of 20th Century Fox International, where he managed revenues in excess of $1.5 billion and oversaw the release and marketing of several blockbuster films, including Braveheart, Titanic, Star Wars, and X-Men. After a trip to Cambodia, he left his Hollywood career, sold everything, and moved to Phnom Penh to set up CCF in 2004.

Working together HFCA & CCF have ensured unprivileged Khmer youth have had positive life changing experiences through international travel. CCF boys and girls have taken part in football tournaments attended by HFCA in countries such as Brazil (2010), France (2011), Mexico (2012), Poland (2013), Chile (2014), Holland (2015), Scotland (2016), Norway (2017), Wales (2019), South Korea (2024) and Singapore (2023 & 2026)
