Vinamilk — named the World’s Most Promising Dairy Brand by Brand Finance (Food & Drink 2025) — is marking 50 years of bringing quality nutrition to families, a milestone the company is carrying into its growing presence in Cambodia. Founded in Vietnam in 1976, Vinamilk has spent five decades refining every stage of dairy nutrition, from animal care and ingredient selection to formulation and quality assurance. Today that expertise is recognised by leading international bodies and trusted by families in more than 65 countries and territories.
For Cambodian families, the milestone matters less as a celebration than as a commitment: the same standards of quality and safety Vinamilk has upheld for 50 years are now available locally.
Five decades of nutrition expertise, earning trust worldwide
Five decades of continuous investment in dairy expertise have placed Vinamilk among the world’s leading dairy companies. It ranks among the world’s top 36 dairy companies by revenue and is the only Southeast Asian name in Brand Finance’s top 10 most valuable dairy brands. In Brand Finance’s Food & Drink 2025 report it was also named the world’s most promising dairy brand, with an AAA+ brand strength rating.

Independent recognition across the portfolio covers the qualities families care about most: purity, safety, taste and innovation.
In infant and children’s nutrition, Vinamilk became the first company in Asia to have all of its children’s milk powder brands receive the Clean Label Project Purity Award, in 2023 — an award based on independent laboratory testing for contaminants and product integrity.
In fresh milk, Vinamilk 100% Fresh Milk has been trusted by millions of families across generations for everyday nutrition. At the premium end, Vinamilk Green Farm has been recognised for purity by the Clean Label Project, for taste by the International Taste Institute in Brussels — whose Superior Taste Award is judged blind by professional chefs and sommeliers — and for quality by Monde Selection. According to market research conducted by Alphanalyst Research Co., Ltd. between 18 March 2025 and 23 March 2026, Green Farm is the world’s only fresh milk range to hold all three distinctions.

Most recently, at the Global Dairy Congress in Barcelona, Vinamilk received five honours at the 2026 World Dairy Innovation Awards from 17 finalist entries — a result that Richard Hall, chairman of the Global Dairy Congress and the awards, described as unprecedented in the awards’ 20-year history. The recognitions spanned children’s nutrition, healthy ageing, fresh dairy and indulgent treats.
Sure Prevent Gold was named Best Life-stage Innovation; Vinamilk Gelato Matcha Gotcha, Best Ice Cream; Vinamilk 100% Fresh Milk Flavoured, Best Flavoured Dairy Drink; Vinamilk Gelato, Best Packaging Design; and a Vinamilk children’s nutrition product, Best Children’s Dairy Product.

The rigour behind 50 years of consumer trust
Behind that record is a simple belief: trust is earned by getting every detail right. As Mrs. Mai Kieu Lien, Chief Executive Officer of Vinamilk, explains: “Food that enters the body leaves no chance to correct a mistake. That is why, for Vinamilk, quality is not merely a production standard but a professional ethic and a responsibility to consumers, a principle we never compromise, for any reason.” Over five decades, Vinamilk has turned that belief into a discipline, embedding rigorous standards across farming, nutrition research, production and quality assurance to ensure that every product is made with uncompromising quality standards.
At Vinamilk’s farms, rigorous standards shape every stage of dairy farming. Cows are monitored with technology for their well-being and fed carefully selected diets, while all farms hold Global S.L.P. certification for good agricultural practice. An organic farm within the network has also maintained EU Organic certification for ten consecutive years.
The same rigour extends to every step of milk production, including how quickly fresh milk moves from farm to chilled storage after milking to ensure freshness. Though being rarely visible to consumers, these practices reflect Vinamilk’s belief that trusted quality is built through precision and consistency at every stage.

Beyond the farm and milking process, Vinamilk’s manufacturing network is built to international standards for quality, food safety and production. The company has also developed in-house spray-drying expertise since the late 1980s, pioneering the technology in Asia and gaining closer control over nutritional composition and batch-to-batch consistency. In 2013, Vinamilk inaugurated the Vietnam Milk Factory and the Vietnam Powdered Milk Factory, two mega plants with a combined investment of about US$152 million. Its manufacturing facilities are certified to internationally recognised standards, including ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and FSSC 22000 (Food Safety Management), and its laboratories are accredited to ISO 17025, ensuring that every product meets rigorous requirements for quality, safety and nutritional accuracy before reaching consumers.

The same discipline shapes product innovation, where Vinamilk focuses on science-backed products for specific nutritional needs. In fresh milk, Green Farm uses dual vacuum technology to preserve the milk’s natural character, and Green Farm High Protein uses ultrafiltration to deliver a high-protein, calcium-rich, lactose-free milk for active and health-conscious consumers.

Bringing that trust and nutrition to Cambodian families.
Vinamilk is investing to bring its nutrition closer to Cambodian families. Its first flagship store opened on Jawaharlal Nehru Boulevard in Phnom Penh in March 2026; a second flagship followed on Street 488, near Phsar Daeum Thkov, on 1 May. Both are designed as places to experience and study the brand rather than simply buy from it: families browse the full range, staff introduce the products and answer questions, and tastings — from fresh milk to gelato — let people try before they choose.
At the first store, the brand-story corner and the product shelves have been the most visited sections, membership registrations have been strong, and many shoppers have found international-standard dairy more accessible in price than they expected. Both stores carry the same standards of quality and safety the brand applies in every market: a long-term commitment to make trusted, everyday nutrition more accessible to Cambodian households.
“Cambodia is a long-term market for us, and our expansion here is deliberate. The early signals from our Jawaharlal Nehru Boulevard flagship — the number of members who have signed up, the way customers have engaged with our brand story and products — have been genuinely encouraging,” said Mr Pham Hong Y, Head of Retail at Vinamilk.

That commitment extends beyond the shelf. A wide range of products, including Green Farm, SUSU, ADM and Vinamilk 100% Fresh Milk, is now available in grocery stores and supermarkets. Beyond the point of sale, in May 2026 Vinamilk took the brand to where Cambodian families gather, with a weekend pop-up store on the capital’s Walk Street, where a brand-story wall, product tastings, games and a children’s play zone gave visitors a first-hand experience of the range. The company says the event drew considerable interest and positive responses, an encouraging signal of Cambodian families’ interest in quality and innovative nutrition.

As part of its 50th anniversary, Vinamilk hosted guests from Cambodia at the V50 exhibition and gala night in Ho Chi Minh City, and on 21 August welcomed the delegation to the Vietnam Powdered Milk Factory and the Vietnam Milk Factory, known as the Mega Factory. The visits gave a first-hand view of production and quality control — the transparency through which Vinamilk seeks to earn the long-term trust of Cambodian families.

Looking ahead
Vinamilk says the next chapter will be about continuing to earn that trust — investing in innovation so that each generation is better nourished than the last and bringing international-standard nutrition closer to the families it serves, including in Cambodia.
