TLScontact Centre in Phnom Penh Now Accepting Visa Applications for France

Starting from January 13th 2024, individuals seeking visas to France can now submit their applications at the TLScontact Centre in Phnom Penh. This center has been designated to provide assistance to the public, offer information, schedule appointments, receive application forms, and collect relevant fees. Additionally, passports can be retrieved at the center.
This move reflects the French Embassy’s commitment to enhancing the applicant experience in response to high demand, reducing appointment wait times, and providing optional services to ensure optimal comfort for travelers to Europe.
Situated on the 5th floor of the Vattanac Capital Tower, the TLScontact Centre was inaugurated on December 19th by French Ambassador Jacques Pellet. It operates from Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 4 pm, and is also available outside these hours and on Saturday mornings if necessary.
The center offers various services, including assistance with application completion and the collection of biometric data (fingerprints) at home. However, utilizing these additional services does not guarantee visa approval or expedited processing by the French Embassy. Visa fees and other services can be paid for using the Bakong system.
Certain categories of travelers, such as the foreign spouse of a French national, the foreign spouse of a member of the European Union/Switzerland, and long-term students in France, may choose to continue submitting their applications directly to the visa section of the French Embassy to avoid paying service charges. However, these applicants must still coordinate with the TLScontact Centre to schedule an appointment at the embassy.
It is important to note that Cambodian nationals are required to possess a valid visa to enter France, regardless of their stay duration and the type of travel document they hold, unless they possess a valid residence permit allowing them to stay in France or another Schengen state.
The French Embassy in Cambodia processes short-stay visa applications for several Schengen countries, including Belgium, Spain, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Malta, Norway, Portugal, Slovenia, and the Czech Republic.
